Fantastic, Spacious 3 Bedroom House With Garden

Clean great location

No chopping board or mats for table not enough toilet roll, radiators would t turn down. Sink in bathroom was blocked so water took forever to go and there was no handle on toilet brush.

Quiet location. Good heating, spacious, and really good communication from host.

Only parking out back for one car and roads around permit only. No Internet in house.

The staff were excellent and quick to reply to any questions. The location was ideal for us, the kitchen facilities were good and the downstairs furniture and beds very comfortable. There was good availability of wardrobes. We slept very well and the road is quiet, good private parking space.

Although it was absolutely adequate, I wouldn’t describe it as “fantastic”. Some of it is very tired and really needs some maintenance. The first thing that hits you on entering is that the carpets downstairs are very dirty. There is nowhere to put shoes so presume that’s why. Some of the rooms are nicely decorated but some could do with a lick of paint. We stripped the beds at the end and one of the beds doesn’t have a mattress protector and the mattress is stained etc. Some of the duvets are ripped and seen better days. We were in town for a pretty big family gathering and there was an iron but no ironing board. Lastly the weather was fantastic when we were there, but couldn’t really enjoy the garden as the grass hasn’t been mown in weeks.

Everything was fine.

We had a lovely stay. The owners were very attentive via the booking dot com messages. I let them know we had arrived at 10pm, and they had responded within 20 minutes! I have no doubt if there had been a problem, they would have addressed it. The place was very clean. There is good parking around the back. It's a short walk from a street with a range of places to dine, Velo Lounge did an excellent brunch. Coffee, tea, sugar and some UHT milk provided, so even if you arrive straight from a flight, you can have a cuppa! The double beds were very comfortable. Very happy with our stay and our hosts.

We had adults sleeping on the single bed and sofa bed. Those beds are not great for adults, though the single bed would be fine for a child. I wouldn't plan a long stay with an adult sleeping several nights in either of those beds.

Plenty of room for four adults. Kitchen a good size with a stove, microwave and fridge. Great that the toilet was separate to the bathroom. Beds were comfortable too. We had a couple of small issues but the staff sorted it out straight away.

We didn't know about the point to turn on the fridge. Plug was turned on but the other switch above the bench nearby wasn't.
