The Explorers Rest - Cottage - Frome

The boot room was good for leaving walking shoes and waterproofs. The shower was much appreciated.

The lighting in the lounge was poor for reading or playing games. Some clearer instructions for the microwave would be useful, such as a picture of the control panel and the functions.

great size and character, lovely little touches nice and modern but with old features which was nice lovely bathrooms and amenities warm and cozy

it was meant to be 1 double and 1 twin room but they have done some weird arrangement in the second bedroom which was two mattresses together but the horizontal way (!?) so it was not that comfortable plus I was with a friend, not a couple in that room and inconvenient in that respect

Explorer’s Rest is a beautifully modernised cottage with a well appointed kitchen and a fabulous bathroom. It sits at a busy intersection of roads but there is plenty to do and see in the area. We hired electric bikes for a day which was great fun! Frome provided interesting, eclectic places to eat.

This is a beautiful 300 year old cottage with totally updated facilities. Good kitchen, exception shower and good hot water. Comfortable beds. one of our dogs chewed the remote, and the owner dealt with it (we did, obviously pay for the replacement) in an absolutely charming way. Really made me feel better about it. Most impressed

We were fractionally cold the first night, used hot water bottles the second which solved that. The garden is up a set of steps, but appears to be fenced well enough to let the dogs run there at night. The road is very close,
