The lock was open when we arrived, we enjoyed the location and private garden by the river once we found it. The house is as described apart from the items listed in the 'didn't likes' section.

On arrival, the fridge icebox had iced up so much that the door to it and the fridge would not close, we had a litre at least of water to clear out of the fridge before we could use it. We reported it to the out of hours line and we were called back to confirm they had received the message and would look into it but nobody came to sort it out. We had to throw a lot of our food away as it was soaked with dirty water and we weren't sure if it was cold enough to keep the food fresh with the door partially open. We were under the impression there was a dishwasher but there wasn't. We even got dishwasher tablets in the kitchen pack! ?? We didn't know where the garden was and we had to ask another guest. There wasn't anything in the welcome book. There are parking tickets in the drawer in the lobby but we didn't know what they were for. There was black mould behind the bed on the wall. The ceilings are low, not your fault but it might be worth mentioning as my partner is 6 feet and knocked his head a few times.

It was charming with a high standard of decoration and good quality appliances and parking in front of apartment.

We loved our stay! It was well equipped, clean, and tidy, plus it was super cute! Great location, too.

The bed was not that comfy.

The room was comfortable There was private parking outside for the car The bus stop was right outside the door. The lake district is a great area to explore.

The local shops were a 30 minute walk away.

Lovely room! Clean and very comfortable! Good location in a quiet area, but very close to town centre in Ambleside. And enjoy walking around. I stayed here for walking mountains. Easy access to Coniston, Eskdale area and Helvellyn.
