Woodland Retreat

Plenty of room for the both of us and had everything that we would need. It was clean, beds were comfy with lovely fresh white linen and towels. We watched a couple of the dvd’s available and there were books too. Perfect base whilst being in easy reach of parts of Cornwall that we wanted to explore. Nestled in woodlands and surrounded by nature, lovely 🩵

Only gripe would be the tv channels were few and not seemed to be tuned in properly

I stayed at other holiday home before and the utensils were in better condition. The frying pens in this property were badly scratched and you don’t want to use it. The oven trays are greasy and don’t want to use them. No kitchen towel, shower mat etc. the bedroom doors are not sound proof.

The place was warm and very comfortable. The location was great

Some of the facilities are run down. Quite a lot of dust on the lamp shades, carpet etc

Anna went above and beyond our expectations to make our stay extra special. She is very quick to respond to any enquiry. It was a lovely relaxing stay with the added bonus of having a selection of books and dvds there. It felt very homely.

There was a slight smell of damp on arrival which you don't notice after a while.

Very quiet location and only 2 minutes walk to clubrooms and bus stop.

Location was perfect. Although the restaurant in the village was substandard

We stayed over the new year break. It was warm and welcoming when we arrived and we appreciated the fresh flowers and prosecco that were left for us The site was, as we expected, very quiet which suited us and we had a great couple of nights.

The site WIFI and phone signal weren't always great which was sometimes a bit problematic but also a good reminder of just how easy it is to become too reliant on our phones.

It was great to have access to a kitchen to cook in. Quiet unit. Great shower. Nice to have access to live entertainment.

The unit was musty. We had a person with us with poor mobility and had to walk down to the unit that was the greatest distance from the carpark. The bed was so small I nearly fell out of it.
