Fourteen westgate

The little cottage was decorated beautifully, small touches like milk in the fridge, dog treats (although we didn't take ours) and biscuits were all a lovley extra touch and meant they were things we didn't have to think about after a 3 hour drive. The cottage was so so clean and tidy, cleaner than a hotel room.

Beautifully renovated apartment on the western end of Louth town. Only 200m to St James Church and a little more to the middle of town. 2 comfortable bedrooms upstairs, spacious lounge and well equipped kitchen. Nice small courtyard off the kitchen. Also 300m to the local golf club!

Has a narrow staircase and various small level changes on both floors might make it a bit difficult for less mobile people . Nothing else!

Good location within short walk to centre. Clean and bright home where we felt welcome.

Everything was within walking distance, the attention to detail was second to none. Even fresh milk in the fridge, tea, coffee and biscuits. The house was absolutely spotless and there's even a dishwasher. All that remains to say is l could never imagine anyone being disappointed and a big shout out to Sandie, the owner and a massive thank you

Absolutely nothing!!

Location was fab, with easy road parking and a short walk to Hubbard's Hills. Lovely patio that caught the afternoon sun Very comfortable beds and a well equipped kitchen

Just a heads up: For the less mobile, there are steps down to the bathroom ( which is downstairs ) and to to the outside patio. This didn't detract from our wonderful stay Thank you

A beautiful & immaculate cottage, exactly like the photos. The lovely & friendly owner met us upon arrival. Great location within walking distance of the town centre. Very well stocked for self-catering. On street parking but we always seemed to get a space nearby without much trouble. Would stay again if we were in the area as it was very good value for money.

If you’re a light sleeper you might struggle. Would benefit from some curtains over the blinds in the front bedroom to help block out the road noise (only single glazing) & the light in a morning, and an eye mask is needed in the spare room as there is a skylight right above the bed with no blind on it. There was also a strange drain/damp smell in the bathroom that sometimes made the whole downstairs smell slightly (but I chalked this down to potentially the age of the house & old drains) and it didn’t really impact the stay.
