Cotswold Lodge - Pet Friendly

Really lovely site and the caravan was perfect for our needs. The site had great facilities but was also lovely and quiet. The location is ideal and there are so many things to do in the local area.

Couldn't get the Roku to work - I dont think it was broken we just needed some instructions.

Site was lovely and very good facilities and the lodge was nice and clean

The cost to clean the lodge - could not justify the 60 pounds charged when we had to clean up ourselves and strip all the bedding

Fab place to stay, clean & had everything we needed. Plenty space for 3 of us.

The wifi not so good

Nice and clean Lodge. Plenty of room. Good distance from the main entertainment area, not too far away but not too close either Dogs are welcome in a lot of the venues too

Had to pay £20 per dog which was non refundable, not sure why. Surely a deposit would cover any issues. Venue a bit dated/tatty in places (not the lodge)

Positive things are that caravan was very clean, good location and dog friendly.

1. Actually we didn’t stay second night because the beds was so uncomfortable for us. My mum and Husband got back pain. 2. The Hoburne Wi-Fi was very bad and we did not found 4G modem there. So we have to use our personal hotspots. 3. For me as I’m very busy person it was too much communication from the host. I was getting a lot of emails and messages almost every day. Pre check in form, deposit form etc I count and it was 22 emails! 4. Deposit been locked for 7 days. It was too long. 5. For the last 15 years of travelling nobody ask me to strip all beds and place bedding, towels, bathmats and tea towels into the laundry bag provided. It was not good.

So clean and everything you needed home from home.

Clean, good location on the park (near the main centre), EV charging points were very useful. Lodge itself was really nice, plenty of room and everything in good condition.

We got a warning error on the boiler, followed the reset process and went out for the day. Found out that evening that it hadn't worked. We phoned the owners who said it was likely an empty gas bottle and told us to call the site. Called their emergency out of hours number and it rang out, no answer. Consequently left without heating or hot water for a night. Sorted the next day at the park reception. Also not directly related to the lodge, but the park information and staff indicated that most things would be open New Year's Day, but we went down at dinner time to find it closed, a little disappointed given that we had asked the staff that question directly. As I say not the fault of the lodge owners but it contributed to the experience.
