Starfish Cottage- private beach access- dog friendly

Clean, well appointed house. 3 bedrooms and large living room, lots of room for all the family. Well stocked kitchen with lots of useful equipment, a nice change from the usual bare minimum. Owners were very accomodating with us adding two extra guests at the last minute.

Hardly a major problem but the kitchen cupboard doors were rather reluctant to open and close!

Every well equipped, left like a home from home . It is a very clean well maintained home .

Overall we had a good stay in Starfish cottage. It's a nice house on 15 minute walking distance from the beach and approx 20-30 minute walk from Charlestown. The beach is nice and not to crowded with nice weather. Hosts was very helfpfull and the house was definately clean when we arived.

The house is nice but definately needs some renovation and updating on some things. The washing machine and dish washer are quite old and used I think and the outside furniture was completely rusted and worn out. Same for drying rack. These are things that could have been replaced earlier also considering the price I think this is something that should be solved in advance, not when guests break it because of the rust.

It was clean, well maintained. It had everything we needed in a home away from home. The neighbourhood is quiet. The private beach is lovely. You can walk into the local village where there is a good range of great restaurants, and a harbour.

Good location. Charlestown is within easy reach.

Poor quality and hard towels. Most rooms had thick cobwebs which we cleaned ourselves. Overgrown foliage hanging over driveway and gate entrance to property which we cut back to allow access. Dishwasher is not secured to side cabinets and door drops down suddenly to fully open. No instruction manuals for appliances. In general property requires a refresh and deep clean. Several light bulbs require replacement in the property. £10 a day to cover a pet is expensive and a dog bowl would be useful if provided. Some of these comments have been mentioned in previous reviews, but do not appear to have been redressed ie quality of towels, overgrown foliage and general condition of property. Most of the above items can be easily and quickly rectified.

Really enjoyed our stay, house was clean upon arrival and only a short walk to Charlestown harbour with bars and restaurants to enjoy. Small gated residents beach which is dog friendly all year round Would definitely stay again.
