Castle View Cottage

Great location inside the castle grounds through big white gates and overlooking the ruins - very private Large bedrooms and an unexpected bonus was having two double en-suite bedrooms as well as the twin and a full bathroom with double ended free standing bath and separate shower. If anything, the description undersold this great holiday let. Thoroughly recommended

Directions to the property - had to ask about going through the big white gates (with no signposts), but the owner was quick to respond and very helpful

The cottage was warm, welcoming, clean, and well equipped with anything and everything you may need. There was lots of space, and the three bathrooms were an added bonus. Everything was perfect. We all enjoyed our stay. The location was fabulous and very peaceful. It is right beside the castle with lots of walks on your doorstep for the dog. Owners were very accommodating when our sailings were cancelled due to red weather warnings and allowed us to change our booking. We would definitely book again the next time we are over. Thank you!

Lovely quiet location. Well equipped and comfortable cottage. Very accommodating host who was responsive to messages but did not impose on us.

We were self catering so provided our own meals. The kitchen appliances and equipment were excellent. The same high standard was evident in the rest of the property. The cottage is set in beautiful surroundings with plenty of good walks on the doorstep and the added interest of equine events taking place when we were there. The town is an easy 15 minutes walk and has everything you need. We will certainly be recommending this to our friends.

Lovely , comfortable house, with everything wat we need for ours feew days. Three nice bedrooms with 3 bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable, clean and fragrant. The hostess was very nice and helpful. Extra bed on request. Great place, wonderful birds singing and a beautiful view from the windows.

Everything was great!

Beautiful to look at & very nice inside. There was just the 2 of us (& a dog) so plenty of room. Facilities were good & there is a lot of walking space (acres & acres of it!) outside the garden. The owners were very helpful when we had some initial Wi-Fi issues (soon resolved!)

We stayed for just the two nights so there wasn’t much to complain about!
