Character cottage in the heart of Uplyme.

perfect size lovely and clean, and a pub over the road

We were surprised by how spacious the house was. From the pictures you can't really figure out how big the rooms are because the house has an irregular shape. The rooms on the side of the main road (the living room and one double bedroom) are smaller on the side facing the main road but still big enough for a double seater or a double bed on that side. The rooms on the other side of the house, the dining room and the master bedroom have a regular shape. The kitchen and and the single room are in extensions at the ground floor and first floor. The bathroom has a regular size bathtub. Under the stairs there is a small second toilet. Over the garage there is a patio with artificial grass facing a small well kept garden. We enjoyed very much staying in this house.

The entrance to the garage is quite tricky but by speaking with the owner we found out that you have to arrive to the house from the back, passing from the small road Venlake lane, turning right into Gore lane and then reversing into the garage sideways so that the car is in the same direction as the road.

Very spacious comfortable and clean.

The garage is in a really difficult place, arriving with small children was stressful as had to block the road while I got the keys to then open the garage and it's very tight to get into even with a small fiesta.

The cottage is in an ideal location for walking to Lyme Regis along the river. The property is full of character and was a pleasure to stay at. There is WiFi and a smart tv so the kids were happier, when we were in the cottage.

The cottage is on a corner at the bottom of a hill, the garage has a raised hump on one side we have a Kia Rio and (after a few attempts and figuring out it's better to reverse in) managed to get it in but it definitely is something to consider. If you have a large ground clearance then you will be ok.
