"Perfect getaway with perfect views"

7.0

The location is perfect with beautiful views, and the animals are an added bonus, we often have a night off grid just to get away from daily stressors and this was perfect. The host was very helpful and quick to respond to any question we had.

I felt it was a bit close to the main house, I know this must be for water and drainage purposes but felt a bit like I was going into the owners garden to use the hot tub, and the hot tub was literally just an outside bath with no jets which we had assumed at the cost of £40. I feel the no barbecue thing might be a bit difficult if there are no other cooking facilities, we managed to come to an agreement but maybe have a combi-microwave so there is an alternative way of cooking.

"Amazing spot, incredibly peaceful stay - would return in a heartbeat."

10.0

It’s a gorgeous location, so peaceful, tranquil and private. I felt my shoulders drop from being near my ears as soon as I arrived! The host was friendly, helpful and responsive to messages, but they left us to it (in a good way). The interior of the cabin is nicely decorated, the bed is very comfortable. We were greeted with some little and very delicious jam tarts - amazing. But the real star of the show is the outdoors - the view! The neighbours (my favourite was Chalky - the donkey)! I had one night at the cabin, and I sincerely wish I had more. I wouldn’t hesitate to return again.

I’d add a suggestion for anyone using the hot tub - if you are turning up later than you initially expected, asking the host to remove the lid or removing the lid as soon as you arrive is a good idea. At the very least, checking the temperature before you try and get in! The hot tub was VERY toasty. It’s my fault - I arrived a few hours after what id expected. It did cool down, but it took a while. However - the location and view from the hot tub was lovely and very peaceful and I was able to get in a little later in the evening.

"A perfect place for a relaxing getaway"

10.0

From start to finish Carly was the perfect host, she met us and walked us round to the cabin, explaining everything clearly and introducing us the the animal neighbours. The cabin was lovely and warm as Carly had pre lit the log burner and explained where the spare fuel was for it and how to use it(I already knew) but obviously not everyone will have used one before. Inside the cabin there is a small but functional area with a microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge with a small freezer compartment, there were tea/coffee and milk provided, there was also “extras” on a shelf this comes at an additional charge and the price list is in the little book on the side, which is also the same book for people to write comments in about their stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, there is a small sofa at the end of the bed and a tv and small radio by the bed. The bathroom has been updated as the shower was not the one in the photos and it is a very good shower unit that has been installed, hot and powerful. There was also two robes and towels provided. Everything was clean and smelt lovely inside the cabin, it was just a lovely place to be ♥️ We had arranged the hot tub prior to arrival(this is additional charge) Carly had lit it so it was up to temperature as it was log fired one and took time to warm up, it was so relaxing to sit in it with a “glass” of bubbly(no glass allowed so two plastic ones are provided) and sit under the stars. From the decked area you have a great view of the open countryside and the neighbours who are 2 big horses, 2 shetlands and of course Chalky the donkey(bring carrots 🥕) Hastings and Battle are a short drive from the property and the property is easily accessible from the A21. We was sad to leave but will return for sure it’s our new favourite getaway spot for sure.

Nothing it is a perfect setting. I would say the wifi signal can be hit and miss so if you are bothered by this just use your phone data as signal was not a problem considering you are in the countryside.
