Was a lovely cottage and great location, a lovely pub in the village too, Only a short walk from castle too. Place was nice and everything you needed.

The mattress on the bed was too soft for me.

"Perfect little cottage in the Beautiful Wye valley"

Perfect location to explore the beautiful Wye valley. A lovely clean bungalow that was ideal for a solo traveler or couple self catering. Parking right behind the property. Situated in a nice quiet village location.

Didn’t find anything!!!

"Affordable luxury short break accommodation ideal for couples exploring the middle Wye valley."

10.0

We had a very relaxing three night stay at Jolly's cottage which was immaculately clean with fresh decor carpets etc and well equipped kitchen, Good off road parking, There is an upmarket pub in the village - we chose to walk to the alternative Cross Keys for a meal (including vegan). The majestic Goodrich Castle ruin (English Heritage) is in the village, and emergency supplies can be picked up in the next village on the A road, Morrisons, Sainsburys or Aldi in Ross. We used the cottage as a base to kayak on the rapids at Symonds Yat a very short 5 min drive away (we launched at Wyedean Adventure - pay for parking and launching). We also did a short 2 hour river trip from the public park at the Hope and Anchor, Ross on Wye down to the Parish Canoe Launch at Kerne Bridge (in the village not at the bridge) with the added bonus of a regular morning public bus service shuttle back to Ross from just outside the launch. It is usually possible to paddle upstream from all three points. Other attractions are available, including walks along the Wye. If you don't have boats or paddle boards with you, several open canoe liveries offer out and back or point to point rental on what is normally a gentle summer river with shallow rapids. You must have, or hire, a buoyancy aid to launch at Wyedean.

My son and I liked everything really, and this is an ideal stay for a couple, and perhaps with smaller kids. The master bed and bedroom are great. The second bed in the cottage is a sofa bed and my adolescent son found it OK but a bit springy (he still slept in each day) so we haven't maxed out the score for beds and comfort (sorry Amy ! ).

"Fun filled with our 2 grandchildren."

10.0

The location was really convenient for Goodrich Castle, Symonds Yat and Puzzlewood. It was also very quiet despite being on the main road. Lovely walks right on the doorstep and places to eat both on foot or a short drive away. Cottage was quirky and comfortable. It would be nice to know more history about the place - my husband was intrigued by the building and the bits that were not accessible, the old ledger was really interesting to read.

Nothing comes to mind, it was more than adequate for our needs.
