Beautiful cottage with everything you need for a stay in Speyside

We were very happy with our stay at Isla's Cottage. It was easy to check in with the key in the lock box, and the property was clean and well taken care of. Forbes & Samantha did a great job communicating with us prior to arrival and we enjoyed the information package they sent. The cottage looked just like the photos. We were a group of six so it was the perfect space for us to stay for two nights. The beds were comfortable and the linens were clean. We were able to do our laundry and hang it to dry on the clothes rack or on the clothes line on the patio. Couple of notes about the general area: - There is a corner store a couple doors down, and a co-op grocery store a short walk up the street, which was very convenient to grab meals and snacks. Some of us enjoyed fish & chips one evening from Dufftown Fusion. We also enjoyed the Whisky Capital Inn restaurant for drinks. - We also stayed a Friday/Saturday night and were lucky enough to catch the farmer's market Saturday morning at the legion down the street for delicious coffee and baked goods! - Some of us did the Glenfiddich tour and really enjoyed it, highly recommend. It was just a short walk down the road to the distillery which was awesome. We also found some adorable highland coos in the field beside Balvenie castle/Glenfiddich Distillery.

The only complaints, that are not really complaints: The shower water pressure was only ok. Didn't love the separate hot and cold taps in the sink. Watch out for giant spiders around the fireplace in the living room!! We had the windows open for circulation, and did find the main road to be noisy all night long. The cottage had everything we needed except paper towel and facial tissues (kleenex). We would've spent more time on the patio if the furniture was more comfortable.

The layout was perfect and it was nicely decorated and was very clean. Everything you needed was provided. It is in a perfect location. We received a very generous welcome pack which was a lovely touch. Very comfortable beds too!

Nothing we didn’t like but extra tea towels and hand towels in the bathroom would have been great and extra bin liners.

This was like a home away from home. There was an exceptional welcome package. Getting Wifi was easy. The beds were comfortable and it was very central to Speyside walks and distilleries. This place did not allow pets and I appreciated not having pets allowed an extra level of cleanliness. There was plenty of space for family and parking was easy behind the cottage.

it was fair for the value. nothing bad to tell except the fact that has only one bathroom, for large groups can be a problem. but it was informed in the ads.
