Newton Cottage South

The view from the cottage is stunning. It was within walking distance to everything. The back garden is lovely. The owners communication was great and very helpful.

A tiny detail, but shower gel would be a nice touch.

Excellent location overlooking the loch with uninterrupted views. However as a very old cottage it only has single glazing and is beside a road. The road is not busy but earplugs for sleeping might be helpful for some.

Location is perfect. Short stroll to Inveraray and a shorter stroll to the Co-op. A superb base to strike into the West of Scotland, from Oban to Campbeltown. The views from the property are amazing, with the Loch literally across the road and mountains in the near distance. Inverary Castle is well worth a visit, as is the George, for dinner.

My only comment would be that the property is on the main road (which i knew beforehand) and this road is busy with cars, lorries, and buses. Could be a little noisy at the front of the house early in the morning, but knowing this, I still booked, as the location is fantastic!

The property was clean and tidy apart from the two armchairs which had seen better days but were comfortable and the information folder which was covered in dirty finger prints and had the wrong key box no in it. It is well equipped and a shirt walk to the village and shops.

We had forgotten that the road outside has fast and heavy traffic. I didn’t like walking into the main bedroom to find a huge plastic laundry bag hanging from the handle of the wardrobe and not one but three laminated requests for us to strip the beds and pack the linen and towels into it when we left. The garden is not private as it is not screeded from the next door cottage.

Glorious location. The view breathtaking out of the front windows. Everything we needed for a cosy February stay. The wood burning stove was so lovely every evening ( and one particularly chilly morning!) Well equipped kitchen & the beds are so confirm and cosy. Our second visit here & we definitely will be back x

Absolutely nothing.

The location of the property was stunning. Right on the banks of the Loch and a short walk into the village centre. We loved having a fire each evening, which made the cottage super cosy.

The small bedroom was very small (I know this can't be helped in an old cottage). We were all over 6ft so it was a bit of a struggle.
