I stayed here for my 40th birthday with my 3 young kids. They loved the hot tub and the garden. It feels very private. Great location, so handy for going into Newcastle and just across the road from a hotel where we had a lovely dinner.

The property was lovely place tucked away under the watchful eye of the mournes. Very cosy and modern inside.

The hot tub did take quite a bit of time and maintenance to use. The shampoo etc provided was empty. The welcome book could be better presented inside.

The inside of the building was just amazing with a lot of luxurious touches. Decor and furnishings were just perfect to compliment the surroundings. Hot tub was amazing. Took a while to get going so it might be best to let the host fire it up for you. Kitchen has everything you need for a stay of any length.

The property had two bedrooms - which I thought was great for a property of this size especially when staying with older children. Good location, being very close and convenient to town. Nice furnishings, making for a cosy night in.

We didn’t like that the hot tub was not usable from arrival, considering the price of the stay and the fact we paid an additional fee to have it “pre-lit”, I would expect to be able to use the hot tub from the moment we arrive. It took hours to heat and when you are only there for one night you want to make the most of it!! We have stayed in other cabins with wood-fired hot tubs and they have always been ready to use.

I would like to see a sign, it is difficult to spot the entrance at night! I think it’s good value for money but we would have booked another night if that little bit cheaper.
