Jungle lodge

Lodge itself excellent, very comfortable, clean. Great location and outside furniture.

No outside lighting, all the lamps were missing bulbs, so very dark sitting outside. Need instructions for cooker and heating. Didnt realise no towels were supplied. We paid £70 just to be able to eat in restaurant and use swimming pool. One of main reasons for going was the Spa treatments but this was closed the whole time we were there and no- one responded to our calls about this before we booked.

Unsatisfactory cleanliness and maintenance issues. Cooked food left in oven by previous occupants. Blocked shower which we rectified. Toilet brush holders full of dirty water. Missing handle on tap in twin room bathroom. Also this lodge is not a beachfront property.

The private decking at the back of the lodge was lovely to sit outside. The holiday park is well maintained and the location of the lodge is set back in the park so feels more private. Nice touches like washing up liquid and a sponge were provided. Had a dishwasher and washing machine.

The single beds are not full size singles. I'm 5ft 4 and my feet were hanging off the end. The matresses need replacing they were uncomfortable I could feel the springs and had to sleep on top of the duvet and didn't sleep well. There are signs of wear and tear, the sofas have makeshift covers on and one bathroom tap was missing the handle. It would benefit from a deep clean, the extractor fan, under the sofas there were crumbs and dust next to the beds. The outside decking needs a clean and the garden area could be lovely if it was tidied up as overgrown. More wine glasses would be good as there was only one.

Perfect accommodation, great location, clean, comfortable, excellent facilities on site. Hosts answered questions very quickly. Was a very last minute booking but couldn’t have done better if we had planned it.

No complaints. A couple of extra pots and pans would be nice maybe.

We loved how private the lodge was, even though it was surrounded by others. The decor and fittings were lovely and exactly what we needed. Beautiful place for a mini getaway. Was perfect. Also loved the private balcony seating area.

Sadly no sea views.

Lovely decor, owner available when issue with television.

Only minor issue, tea cloth needed a wash, l did bring my own, need to check the television as it was not good working condition but problem solved, owner excellent.
