Geweldige locatie, geen luxe maar puur beleving!

Alles was passend bij de locatie.

Wonderful quiet coastal location with incredible sunrises and dark skies for stargazing, daily sea swims and a wide range walks from the doorstep, plus an extensive network of quiet country roads for exploring by bike. Our hosts generously provided a delicious cake on arrival and we were delighted to receive a basket of homegrown veg and eggs too. So thoughtful. The village shop 2km away does superb savoury and sweet bakes, cakes and fab takeaways (fish and chips, curry, pizza) several evenings a week. The lodge is characterful, cosy and comfortable, a really unusual place to stay. Be prepared for the spiral staircase - you'll be fitter by the time you leave! 😁

This place is special. Lovely quiet location, a few yards to the right there is a path down to the beach where we sat in solitude listening to the birds and the sea and reading books. Lots of places to go or just be there which is a great place to be. Pre-ordered Veg box was bountiful. Village shop fantastic, very friendly with great baking including fresh bread, fresh organic milk on tap and takeaway meals. It was curry night on our first night there and we picked some up. It was delicious. The Tower has simple family furnishing where you feel at home. Beds are comfortable. The stairs are absolutely fine if you are fine with stairs - part of the fun of staying there. Views special, garden a sun trap and great for our dog. We’d love to return.

The location and quirkiness of the building were exemplary. The dark skies and stunning beaches were truly exhilarating. The solitude and connection to nature a huge plus. The sitting room was very cosy.

The kitchen was not very clean or well equipped. Insufficient cleaning products in bathroom or loo roll. Generally very faded and repair jobs were a bit rough and ready.

The location was excellent. The property was unique.

For the price I paid I expected a cleaner and better quality interior and decor.

The location was lovely and the castle was impressive. The kids loved it in particular!

The stairs - however many reviews have mentioned the steep stairs so I was aware when I booked

The Tower was cosy and warm. The kitchen was well equipped and the garden was perfect. The beach across the road was just amazing. Loved by us and the dogs. We had mentioned we had 2 guests coming for a night. It was our ruby anniversary. The upstairs beds were made up and we were left a beautiful cake and chocolates as a present. So kind. The wifi was dodgy which was brilliant (some people may find this a problem). We knew about this before we arrived. We got away from everything.

4 flights of stairs but then again we knew that when we booked. It is an 1870s Tower!!!!!
