Sea Salt Cottage - Mins to beach & shops Dog Friendly

We’ve travelled around the UK twice now—an 11-week trip this time and a 6-week trip previously—and while we’ve stayed in many lovely places, we’ve often found that UK Airbnbs don’t quite offer the same level of hospitality and thoughtful extras that we’re used to in Australia. For us, it’s not just about the property itself; it’s the little touches that make a stay memorable. Travellers don’t always arrive with essentials like coffee, tea, sugar, cooking oil, salt and pepper, and these are commonly provided in Australian rentals. Welcome treats such as chocolate, fresh bread, butter or bacon can also make guests feel truly welcomed. This property delivered all of that and more. The thoughtful extras, combined with an already stunning cottage, went far beyond our expectations. It was, without question, our favourite stay in the UK. The cottage was immaculate, beautifully decorated, comfortable, and in a great location. We loved the bath, shower, private courtyard, and the additional TV services provided. Every detail had been considered to create a wonderful guest experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this cottage to anyone visiting the area.

We really enjoyed our stay. I loved how the hosts had thought of everything. There were dog poo bags, bowls, blankets. On the beds there were eye masks, ear plugs and other bits and pieces. In the kitchen there was cooking oil, salt and pepper, and coffee, tea etc. It is close to the train station, beach and shops, a really convenient location. Also, the heating was on when we arrived, always nice at this time of year. My son enjoyed the DVD collection despite the fact the technology predates him 😂 (there is also the option to log in to your Netflix account).

It basically feels like you have an already made and ready filled home, all you need to bring are your personal and needed belongings. Even with games, DVDs. All the kitchenware and even some basic cooking items like seasoning and oil were available. I was sad not to need the disco ball and karaoke machine, maybe next time!

Very attractive and comfortable accommodation. Everything that we needed was there. The cleanliness of the property, towels and bed linen etc was excellent.

The following comments are intended to be constructive and are not to be taken as a complaint. The door handle on the bathroom door was very stiff. Anybody with a weak wrist or the strength of a child could have difficulty getting out. The fan light ventilator in the bathroom was difficult to reach and made ventilation awkward. The summer weight duvets were not quite adequate, extra bedding would have been nice. The particulars clearly stated that on-site parking was not available. There was free on-street parking but this was rarely available nearby, and lead to a long trek on some occasions.

The property was immaculately constructed, with little added extras: Wood & paper for the log burner, dog bowls, treats & blankets. The bath with all the super toiletries was bliss!

Such an amazing property and the hosts go that extra mile to make sure the stay is incredible we especially loved the hot chocolates on a cold winter night and the fireplace with all the supplies provided! Thank you for making our Christmas Eve and Christmas Day so lovely!
