No 1 Ramageton at Carnell Estates

We booked at short notice due to needing to travel to Scotland at short notice and needing accommodation. All I can say is what an absolutely fantastic choice this was! We were so lucky to find It available 😍 On arrival, the first thing you see is the absolutely idyllic surroundings, it's almost like heaven ❤️ The cottage is small but beautiful, full of beautiful touches and everything you need and didn't realise you could need is at your fingertips. Sitting in the lounge of an eve watching the sunset over the trees was just perfect ❤️ We were welcomed with milk, bread, fresh orange and juice which is a lovely touch. The bed is sumptuous, I could quite happily take it home with me crisp cotton sheets.... perfect for the best night sleep ever! The toiletries provided are of a high quality, in fact I've already got some on order when returning home😊 There is everything you need here for every eventuality, it's all been thought of which is superb! Adrienne, is the most wonderful host with such a warm greeting, we couldn't have hoped for more...thank you for such a wonderful stay ❤️ I think it says it all that we were booked for 2 nights but on arrival, I think I fell in love a little and extended to 3😊 We will be back that's for certain and I can't wait already 🥰 If you're looking for peace and comfort in the most beautiful setting, this truly is your place ❤️

We wanted a quiet spot with a small enclosed garden for our dog and both aspects were available. A good place to stay before a visit to Dumfries House, which we enjoyed.

Excellent preparation prior to our visit with tasteful decoration and carols playing on a radio. Warm, tidy and comfortable. Good parking area outside. Quiet and set in open countryside.

Slight problem with heating controls but managed to easily find a solution.

Very nice location and the place was very well kept. Inside the cottage was very clean and had everything we needed. Our dog loved it aswell . Would definitely come again.

It was so peaceful. A home from home. Just beautiful.

I really appreciated all the little extra things that Adrienne had in the cottage, example, milk, eggs, candy, bread, tea and coffee and the follow up call to make sure we were comfortable. The deck was perfect was watching the beautiful Ayrshire sunsets with Arran in the distance and dining outside.

TV, either the TV or the Wi-Fi was a bit slow.

This is a super pretty little cottage in beautiful countryside near Hurlford. The views are amazing and we enjoyed watching the wildlife. The interior is luxurious and everything is top quality. It is generously equipped and we even had a welcome pack with breakfast goods. We booked as we wanted a quiet retreat before returning to our busy jobs and it certainly delivered. We would definitely book again when visiting the area.

The outdoor seating space was a little tired but this did not diminish our enjoyment.
