The waterside location was beautiful and the cottage had everything we needed.

The cottage was very clean, cosy and comfortable. The welcome basket was a lovely touch. The host was really friendly, easy to contact, quick to respond and very helpful. The location was ideal for exploring the Orkney Islands, just outside Stromness. We hope to visit again in the summer.

Lack of waste recycling facilities at the property

The keys were in the door on arrival. Two lovely self-catering cottages close to Stromness with fantastic views. Our hostess came to check that all was well soon after we arrived. All the appliances worked well, very nicely furnished. Near to good restaurants, and excellent Co-op in Stromness. Convenient for the ferry, and close to major archaeological sites.

The weather!

Great location, comfortable house, lovely host

Really lovely comfortable bungalow with a sea view. Everything we needed was there, a little garden area and parking right by the front door. Just outside of Stromness and five minutes away from the Ring of Brodgar, Stones of Stenness, Maeshowe and other sites. It was great value for money.

There was nothing we didn't like.

Lovely cottage, beautiful view!

Excellent location especially if you get the ferry into Stromness, and also if you want to travel around the main land for sight seeing. Good amenities, everything worked well and the location is very quiet with beautiful views. Lovely welcome pack. The fudge, cheese and crackers didn't last long.

Great wee cottage, very close to Stromness. Easy cycling distance. Great bay view. Quiet location with only road traffic passing, no pedestrians. Well equipped. Lovely host and very friendly & helpful.

No washing line to dry washed clothes, however an airer stand was available so we put that outside when we needed to dry things.
