Alnwick Holiday House - Charming, Historic, Central Alnwick with Courtyard

Location was great and the owners had taken great care to make sure we enjoyed our stay.

Nothing!

The accommodation was ideally situated in Alnwick near the Castle but on a quiet street with parking which is an extra bonus, the cottage was perfect! It had everything you would need and more, so comfortable and welcoming, we sat in the rear courtyard full of beautiful flowers and hanging baskets on arrival with a welcomed drink after our travels and all agreed we couldn't have wished for a better place, the welcome chocolates were a very nice touch 🍫😁 The beds were comfortable, slept really well, the weather was fabulous so didn't need the log burners but could imagine how nice it would be on a cold night to light them, we will return and will recommend to friends 😊

A nice, comfortable well equipped house in an excellent location.

The long winded 'house rules'. Nothing particularly onerous but they went on a bit! (Especially the ones about heating - made one feel guilty when turning the heating up on what was a very cold day). Couldn't help thinking the hosts were rather begrudgingly letting you stay there!

We loved it all, the house was extremely comfortable, very well equipped and perfectly positioned. We could not have asked for anywhere nicer to stay.

Unfortunately I may not have made clear that we were a group of 3 ladies in their 70's and chose the accommodation because it had 3 bedrooms, but sadly the bed in the small bedroom was not made up until we found the bedding under the bed.

Location & comfy beds

Not as clean as we expected. No instructions for dishwasher or washing machine. Very little work surface in kitchen. Outside yard small, unkept and not really child friendly. Didn’t agree with the instructions to strip every bed before leaving.
