Stunning Cottage in New Forest with Log Burner

Everything was fantastic, Location ,how clean the cottage was plus having everything you needed Beds were very comfortable lovely crisp fresh bedding

This cottage is one of a set of new build cottages opposite a few older houses, in a pretty woodland setting. We saw lots of deer, wild ponies and a resident robin at the property which was really special! Although you’re on a road that is busier in the daytime, it was very quiet and peaceful at night. The accommodation was very clean and pretty well equipped. It felt safe and secure. I was staying the night before a local marathon, and importantly I had a great sleep in the comfy beds! :)

Not much to say! For nice and practical accommodation it ticked all boxes.

Would have liked some sort of boot box at the entrance for muddy walking boots, and perhaps a little bench to sit and take boots off.

It suited us just fine for a family wedding nearby.

A very well maintained and designed holiday let. Lovely and peaceful, with lots of space inside. The beds were superbly comfortable.. Refreshing for a holiday let was the supply of plenty of plates, cutlery items etc, so one didn't just have the bare minimum to keep cleaning. The let is very well provided for, from comfortable sofas and modern TV, to a great outdoor area with trees and a field in front (in which we saw deer), a very well stocked kitchen and BBQ, laundry room and more. A friendly host, but we were left to our own space, which was welcome. Location is great for being close enough to Salisbury (<20 mins) yet within the New Forest.

The property was lovely, in a quiet rural spot in the New Forest. The accommodation was very well appointed, the beds comfortable. Lovely view from the living room, looking out onto the field. A cake and bottle of milk were provided. It was very clean and had everything we needed.

We followed directions to the property instead of using Satnav, but had trouble finding it and had to ring the hosts. My sense of direction is not great! The key was in a lock box but because I had used Booking.com I muddled the code they gave me for the booking with the lock box code which was frustrating, but the owner arrived to sort it out. The toilet in the shower room is sandwiched in beside the shower screen, with not a lot of room for a large person.

Definitely recommended! This property is just as described by Astrid and Mark, and more! We were not fussy about our location, nor about the accommodation itself, since we just wanted a couple of nights away with friends, to relax and catch up. But this lovely property is right inside the New Forest, which means that you can enjoy a walk/run/bike ride more or less at any time of the day, just across the road. The kids loved evening walks among the ponies, no matter how tired they already were from the day's activities. And the property itself is so well thought out in terms of how the space functions, what the kitchen is equipped with and the high quality of beds, pillows and duvets - this was truly a bonus! Instructions are made clear and the hosts extremely welcoming and helpful! Favourite time of the day for me, was enjoying a coffee outside, early before everyone else woke up, soak in the fresh air, the sound of birds and even the sights of a couple of deer at the edge of the forest in front of the house.
