The Wootton House

The house was spacious, comfortable and clean.

Garden was in need of a bit of attention. Slightly overgrown, but not so much as to stop use or enjoyment of the space.

The house is of a stunning standard, the welcome basket with breakfast bits was a wonderful touch and all of the facilities for small kids was I credibly helpful as we travelled with a toddler.

Slightly odd smell in hallway (drains?). Games room & hot tub are extra (not taken in our case but details are included in the description??)

The house was perfect for our stay. It is beautifully bright, spacious, clean and comfortable. We were there for a family get together including our two young grandsons. The garden was a real bonus as were the toys housed in the cupboard under the stairs. The four shower/bathrooms were also a real blessing. Sarah the host is quick to reply to any questions or requests. I can't think of anything that would have improved our stay. We visited the South Yorkshire Aircraft Museum which was great and only a very short drive away. We would 100% recommend this property and would love to stay here again.

This is our second stay. Property is the best equipped house we have stayed in. Excellent location for the racecourse.

Had to chase for entry code, be good to have instructions for the TV controls, the ones in the guide were for a different remote. Couldn't see that we had the option to put the heating on if required.

Booked this property to come visit my kids for the weekend, travelled up from Scotland with the rest of my family. Main reason we booked this was due to it having a hot tub, the kids were really excited about it. After I booked the property I was told the hot tub was £75 for the first night and £103 for the full weekend. We wanted it for the Saturday and thought we might as well pay the little extra so we could use it on the Sunday if we fancied. We arrived on Saturday and the hot tub hadn’t even been switched on. This meant it was completely out of use for the whole of the first day/night which ruined our plans all together. Apparently the cleaner was supposed to switch it on for us, makes me wonder if it was even cleaned. We turned it on and put the heating on it and it finally heated up the next morning. The kids used it for a couple of hours max before it was back to being cold again for the rest of the day. I was told we would get a refund for this since they had messed up but when we left we were told we would only be getting £27 refunded of the £103 we paid for it. I argued my point that we should be getting at least £75 back as that’s what we paid for it for the Saturday night and it wasn’t working at all that day. Was told £27 pounds was more than fair. Overall super disappointing for us all, especially the kids. If you are going to stay at this property don’t waste your time and money on the hot tub. Also worth noting the small room with the PlayStation in it shown in the photos costs extra, when I asked about getting access to this we were told we could get the key for it the next day but would be £35 per day to use it, defos not worth it for what it is. We were given access to this on the last day but we didn’t really use it tbh. Other than this the house itself was nice, just a shame the hosts wouldn’t refund us for the hot tub being out of use that we paid £103 for. We’ve had to dispute this with our bank. Wouldn’t stay again.
