Firthview House great for families with children Pet friendly

Contact with the hosts was great and she gave all the details we needed to find the house easier. Rae was polite and helpful throughout our stay, so much so, we decided to book next year again!

Perfect big house for 11 of the family for the weekend, celebrating a big birthday. Owners were very helpfull and friendly. All rooms being en-suite is a big bonus and the hot tub was used by us all, when the weather permitted. Downstairs room was perfect for our Mum. Some nice wee touches left in kitchen, including bags of ice in freezer. Overall a Great place to stay.

Firthview house is a fantastic set up for a group or family to gather. It has an amazing location and views right on the water front. The rooms all having their own bathroom and shower meant no one waiting to use and gave everyone in our group their own privacy. The little added touches of having ice in the freezer, some snacks with tea and coffee and putting up decorations for us made us feel at home. Kitchen is huge and great we could all gather and eat together. Hot tub is the cherry on top. If you are looking for a friendly place to stay book here.

Property was spotless , en-suite in every room, rooms nice and big, fresh towels supplied along with soap and loads of extras that the lady owner went above & beyond to make us feel welcome, we couldn’t fault Firthview house or the lady host Rae that was a lovely king person that made us feel welcome esp with it being Xmas break, Rae even put a Xmas tree up for the kids & left toys for them till Santa came 👍🏻

Two things annoyed us all , the host Justin & the heating side of things re the house. The heating is controlled by Google Nest that is locked by a PIN number & controlled by Host Justin, not what we expected !! heating only came on couple of times during day and not at night it was freezing as it was December with snow temperatures in the minus , luckily I had a blow heater that helped out in upper hallways to keep the chill down a bit. Justin seemed lovely to begin with but after 8 o’clock my niece arrived to be told park outside , why does us city people with our city cctvs want to park in driveways ?? little did he know she stays in Forg William city ???? Dunoon is a safe area , sorry but where did attitude arise from ?? nice earlier but at night different person , on leaving he had an attitude re the van up driveway when we were loading it , not walking100yrds to the safe road with no cctvs to load it , 12 of us wouldn’t be back which is a shame as we wanted a week next year till mr angry appeared.

Loved everything ! Justin was on-site & gave us a very warm welcome. Explained various things about the accommodation to us as well as the hot tub. Recommended various places to eat & visit. Excellent host! Would highly recommend staying here! Exceptionally clean , big rooms with stunning views.

I don’t think there is one thing that comes to mind ! Honestly excellent all round

Each of the 6 bedrooms has an ensuite bathroom. the large kitchen is extremely well equipped, with lots of crockery cutlery pots and pans and cupboards. There are beautiful sea views and the jacuzzi is fab (and the option to get towels for the jacuzzi was very welcome). Shops are a short walk away as is the local pool. There are lots of games in the house, and the ready supply of towels for mucky paws right at the front door was a lovely touch (we’d brought our dog).

Probably not ideal if you have a dog.
