Lane House Barn

The view. The comfortable bed. The big shower.

The unusable dirty decking area. The view without a view from the kitchen window. The cobwebs that hung from everywhere. Every item of crockery and glassware and cutlery we took from the cupboards had to be washed as they were greasy and not cleaned very well. The lack of blinds on the skylights. No freezer for ice cubes (basic) or frozen food. The layout - One comfortable chair in the kitchen is not enough for two people. The sofa should be in the kitchen. The TV should be in the kitchen. You can’t see the TV from the bed and you can’t turn it around to watch from the sofa. The Bose speaker wouldn’t work for us. The little steps up and down everywhere that catch you out until you get used to them.

THE HOST WAS VERY HELPFUL AND EVEN CAME ROUND WITH HOME MADE CAKE HIS WIFE MADE:)

It was clean, quirky and good overall

No blinds on the sky lights so no sleep at all

Bit of a windy lane to get to the property - but totally worth it for the quiet surroundings

The bumpy road can be rough on some cars
