Tigh Phadraig at Marys Thatched Cottages

The cottage was cosy, warm and very comfortable. It was well equipped for self-catering. It was also very private, in a wonderfully remote and beautiful location.

It was a shame that, being November, all local amenities and activities were closed or no longer operating (such as the boat trips to Loch Coruisk). However, this was clearly not the fault of cottage or its owners.

Lovely cottage, beautifully decorated, very comfortable and fully equipped. Location is amazing, very remote and quiet. Though next to the outstanding Coruisk house restaurant and walking distance to the delicious elgol bistro.

The only regret is not having stayed longer.

Location was quite remote, which while nice for the quiet made planning meals and travel a bit challenging

Perhaps a little bit far from the port

Beautiful cottage with everything you need in a stunning location. It may be a half hour drive from Broadford, but the road is beautiful with passing places everywhere, so much easier to navigate than the roads of Bristol! And the views, dark skies and peace and quiet are absolutely worth it. The cottage was warm, with hot water on demand, everything was working (including reliable wifi), the kitchen had everything you could need. Communication from the owners was perfect: friendly and prompt and all instructions were clear. Love that it's dog friendly with fully enclosed grounds. I would thoroughly recommend a stay here.

There was absolutely nothing we didn't like, no complaints at all, just a couple of notes: take an ice tray if you want ice (we never travel without ours) and there is a bluetooth speaker that was great (but didn't find a CD player, though maybe the DVD player plays them through the TV?).

Beautiful.stone thatched cottage, with the most comfortable beds, and everything you could need. The board games are fab, we played them all. Beautiful views. We loved seeing the deer within the gardens eating. And my children loved going up a ladder every night to bed, such an adventure.

Loved the quiet setting - very scenic with wildlife. Well appointed kitchen was easy to cook in.

It was perfect for our needs. It was a bit of a drive to most other attractions on Skye, but we loved the setting.

Supplies left by our host were excellent, butter , bread, eggs, milk and plenty of other groceries. I loved the solitude of this rural hidden gem but it was still easy to get to everything needed. The cottage was gorgeous, well appointed, very clean and comfortable.
