Elia Loft

The views from Elia Loft are incomparable - you can see Gergeti Monastery and Mount Kazbeg right from your bed in the loft. The little cabin is cosy and well-built. There's heating that you can turn on in case it gets chilly. There's a small sitting area, a fireplace, a kitchenette and a bathroom downstairs, and an amazing loft bed up the stairs. Climbing down the stairs can be a bit tricky after a drink or two, though! Davit was an excellent host, he checked in on us when the weather turned bad, and was kind enough to drive us back once when he chanced upon us in town.

Breakfast isn't an option, so you'll need to stock up on groceries or snacks if you don't want to hike down to town every time you need a meal. Bolt Taxi does operate here, though, so that's an option. A rug or two on the floors would have made the place a bit warmer underfoot!

Interiors were tastefully done. Host was great and approachable. Location was also good.

We never realised it would be so warm this time of the year. We missed the air conditioning.
