"Fantastic stay!"

10.0

The location. Kind of a hidden valley that can be accessed from one side with holiday villa's scattered thinly across it. And there's a mysterious abandoned flat building. But I'll let you discover that by yourself (DO visit it! And see if you can find the hidden Amphitheatre behind it. The sea is a short walk away, perfect for morning and evening swims. And often you'll have it to yourself. The pebbles on the beach are okay, for some water shoes will be nice on the Greek pebbled beaches, you can get them in many places in Greece. The villa itself is everything it promised to be and looks and feels much better than the pictures promised. The owner was very responsive and flexible. The housekeepers are fantastic people and great to get some good background info on the surroundings from. We used this stay as a base to visit many things, which made it GREAT: Epidaurus (if you can visit a play in the evening hours there DO IT, so so in the daytime after seeing many ancient and classic sites tbh), Hydra island (magical, best swim in Greece for us and whilst busy very romantic for a dinner, we should have stayed the night over in hindsight), Mycenae and Atreus' treasury (must see), Nafplio (meh), diving from Porto Cheli (wow!), Corinth channel bridge (navigate to zulu bungee, which is next to the bridge you can actually walk onto). We skipped Tiryns and more, so we might need to come back. :)

The house has a water tank that can get empty. Take a look at the actual tank outside of the house when you arrive and how much you've used after a day or so, especially if you're with 7 people like we were. The owner responds well to the need to refill, so it's not a problem by any means, but a thing you don't have to think about when you're connected to the waternet like most of us will be.
