Traditional Village House Tilisos

L'extérieur est tres jolis et au calme, j’ai bu mon café chaques matins sous le citronnier en fleur, un plaisir! Les voisins sont fort sympathiques et agréables. La machine a laver était bien venue et la climatisation fonctionne tres bien!

Ce n’est pas forcément un point négatif mais l'intérieur de la maisonnette est un peu trop rustique et froid. Cela dit c’est personnel. La machine a café était hors service... j’ai du improviser pour faire mon café avec un entonnoir...

The owners, neighbours/ caretakers were fantastic. Centrally located. An authentic experience.

The queen bed in the room nearest the kitchen was uncomfortable.

Uroczy kreteński domek, bardzo klimatyczny, doskonale wyposażony we wszystko czego możesz potrzebować. W kuchni jest dodatkowo ekspres do kawy, do frappe, toster itp, Sa także ściereczki, recznik papierpwy, przyprawy, oliwa, kapsułki do kawy, drobna przekąska, itp. Domek wyposażony jest również w pralkę, Wszystko jest bardzo ładnie urządzone, na ścianach są klimatyczne, stare zdjęcia a łóżko (i poduszki) jest bardzo wygodne. Było też bardzo czysto. Łazienka jest na zewnątrz, ale znajduje się zaraz obok wejścia więc nawet w listopadzie nie był to problem. Również jest ładnie zaaranżowana. Przed domkiem jest urocze podwórko, ze stołem i krzesłami, z dużym drzewem i kwitnącymi krzewami. Niezwykle przyjemnie było jeść posiłki na tym tarasie. Bardzo dobry kontakt z gospodarzem i bardzo miłe przyjęcie przez jego sąsiadkę, która przekazała nam klucze i służyła w razie potrzeby pomocą. Sama wioska jest również bardzo urokliwa. Dziękujemy  bardzo, z przyjemnością zatrzymalibyśmy się ponownie.

The house was quite characteristic, with all rooms facing the inner courtyard. One of the pictures includes a floor map, which was clear and accurate. The yard was maybe one of the most welcoming spaces I've felt, with a lemon tree full of fruits and a second (sorry, not sure what it is!) with larger leaves providing plenty of shade. Beds were simple but comfortable, and although our stay was not long the house might be in use during winter by a normal family, which is a big plus: it truly feels like a lived space, and includes real-world objects that are many times forgotten by a "vacation home" furnisher. I admit to the owners, we did go on the stairs to the roof to see the moon eclipse, and it was truly magical. The owners were welcoming but also maintained their and our privacy. The village is cute, and actually quite realistic despite its close proximity to Heraklion.

The bed arrangement was a bit restricting, so we moved a mattress to a different room; this is solely due to my size, as I was too tall to fit comfortably in the queen bed (2m). This is not on the owners, and speaks to the flexibility of the spaces. For our two-day stay, the bathroom kept relatively clean, but I think some rule among users would have to stand for it not to turn to mud very quickly, such as always leaving shoes outside the door. Windows are not particularly large, so for very warm nights you can either use the AC or leave the doors partly open (if you're okay with it)
