Der sehr nette Sohn der Managerin hat uns für die Schlüsselübergabe im Ort erwartet und uns zum Häuschen begleitet. Dort erwartete uns kleine goodies im Kühlschrank -toll! Wir sind absolut begeistert von dem Häuschen! Die Terasse und der Ausblick- EIN TRAUM! Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet, insbesondere die Küche und wir haben auf der Terasse sogar gegrillt. Wie vorher erwähnt, der Aufstieg ist nichts für fußschwache Leute, aber die Lage entschädigt alles! 3-5 Minuten nach unten in den Ort bzw. zum Strand und nach oben ein wenig länger :). Wir haben bestens geschlafen (wir denken Matrazen waren relativ neu), kein Lärm (außer Zikaden :)). Wlan hat auch sehr gut funktioniert, also alles top! Klare Empfehlung für einen wunderschönen Urlaub.

Das Einzige, was gewöhnungsbedürftig ist, ist die Müllentsorgung am Anfang des Orts - aber das ist wahrscheinlich die Sache der Kommune und etwas für das die Vermietung nichts kann. Hat uns aber nicht gestört.

Pas grand-chose c’était super. Juste que l’annonce sur booking n’est pas à jour (photos) et pas prévenu que le lave linge était cassé.

Views from the Terrace over the beach were amazing. Plenty of equipment in the kitchen and comfortable beds. We had a nice surprise to find good wifi as the write up said no wifi available. Soap was also provided. There was also a complimentary carafe of Raki which was also a nice surprise. Plenty of lovely restaurants and wine bars in Matala town and live music. The music could be easily heard from the Villa's terrace until 12 midnight.

The information didn't say there were steep slopes and over 50 steps to get from Matala town and beach to the Villa. It was worth the effort but people need to be fit and mobile to walk from the town/ beach to the Villa as you cannot park a car near the Villa. The nearest Car parking is approximately 800 metres and 4 Euros a day. Free parking is further away.

The best, I repeat, the best location in Matala. A view like from an eagle's nest on the bay, cliff, town. Access to the city beach 2.5 minutes (exit from the beach to the facility 4.5 minutes). You can walk between neighboring houses only in flip-flops and with a beach towel. The most wonderful beaches before and after the departure of guests who arrive from Heraklion between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. The perfect price-quality ratio. Nice gifts during your stay from the owners. Excellent contact with the caretaker of the facility, Mrs. Eva. Discreet cleaning of the facility. Moments spent on the terrace - priceless, not convertible into any currency. Live music (blues, reggae and local) coming discreetly from 21:00 - 23:00. A table, dinners, a bottle of chilled wine and sunsets and nights with the stars. The sound of the waves coming from the bay. What more do you want? It is worth staying in this place for at least 5-7 days to catch the atmosphere of the place. Beautiful Red Baach beach (15 minutes to and 25 minutes back) accessible in swimwear. Must visit Mojito Jannis Red Beach and ... don't believe the negative reviews. He is a wonderful, sensitive man running his own business. If you give kindness, it will come back to you in greater quantity. You get everything in the facility: silence, music, crystal sea, kindness, the ability to do your own cooking, swimming, jogging, walking, bathing and wonderful moments with a loved one.

I didn't like how time passed so quickly in this place.
