Lyth Valley View at Broom Bank

Superb location - tucked into a quiet hamlet outside of Kendal. Terrific, easy location for visiting the lakes or the seaside. The cottage is really beautiful, decorated nicely throughout with quality finishes and appliances and one of the most enchanting, captivating views! The bathroom was HUGE and everything was done to a high standard. It was extremely rainy and windy on a couple of days but it was hardly noticeable as the cottage was so weather-tight! Terrific walks nearby, especially Brigsteer Brow with it's remarkable 360 vistas and which my dog loved! We were there over Christmas and there was a lovely treat basket full of local coffees, chocolates and goodies waiting for us, and they had put out a Christmas tree with twinkly lights, which was such a nice, homey touch and made us feel very welcome.

It's important to mention that the cottage is an annexed part of a larger main house and shares an upstairs hallway and internal doorways (which were always closed). With it being Christmas we could hear voices/some children talking excitedly about Christmas. Some people may not be a fan of that, but it was fine and we still felt like we were in private, secure and comfortable space in the cottage.

It's a beautiful house with a big terrace. We could park our car in front of the house. Nice view from the bedroom and living-room into the garden and nature. Kitchen was fully equipped. We felt very comfortable during our stay. 100% recommendation.

Location is great on the edge of a quiet village, easy short drive to the Lakes, lovely views across the valley. Top notch accomodation with private terrace by the garden.

Nothing really, quite a narrow road into & through the village but go steady & it's fine.
