Serifos Olive

We chose Serifos to have a relaxing getaway.. I loved exploring the small lanes in Chora and finding our way up to the castle. Everyone was very friendly and laid-back. We did hire a car as the bus wasn't running fully and the landscape and beaches were stunning. In May it was sunny and windy and it was great having a beautiful home to return to and relax in. The home was very comfy, with a great shower after swimming in the sea. The kitchen was well set up and we had most things we needed. The roof terrace was amazing with great sea views.

We were at the start of the season and not everything was open. The supermarket nearest the port had the best provisions and on the last day discovered the cafe above the supermarket, that was also great. On our last evening we found a small taverna in Chora called Marathoriza that served traditional Greek dishes, that were delicious. As is pointed out there are a lot of steps in Chora and access to the roof terrace is outside, but the views are worth it.

Michalis, the host was proactive, very polite and helpful. The apartment is spacious, bright and nicely decorated. It was fully equipped. The terrace upstairs has a great view indeed. The location is quite good even though you need to climb a number of steps.

The apartment is not so well maintained looks like a lot of stuff were repaired in a hurry. For example bathroom tap constantly dripping, door knob secured with a protruding wood screw, cupboard latch crooked, could not close it. Nothing too serious but certainly not acceptable at this price tag. There was dust on the shelves and some hair on the floor. The bathroom is really small, very limited space for our toiletries.

Fantastic decoration and amazing views. We spent a few days at the Olive but we wish to come back. We highly recommend the house. Great tips from the hosts and very responsive.

Loved my stay at Serifos Olive! Michalis & Stavrina were very kind and helpful. A perfect little village house - beautifully decorated and comfortable. I plan to come back.

The house is decorated in a very traditional but modern way. We really loved the interior. The bedroom was big and cozy and we also used the kitchen a lot for our cooking. The port views from the terrace were beautiful. We spent most of the time there :) . We highly recommend the Olive house!
