La Casa Piccola

It is immaculate, neighborhood in old town is cuter than any place has a right to be, lots of places to eat and walk to, easy to reach Koum Kapi for a swim and waterfront promenade on the more local, non harbor side; hostess was super nice, left wine, water and treats for me, always in touch via WhatsApp, also arranged airport taxi for me upon departure.

Be prepared for stairs. It’s a townhouse setup with stairs up to the bedroom and bathroom. But that’s almost every place.

The location was great. The facilities were great. The hostess was great. Instant response to any queries. Great welcome pack of goodies. Very comfortable small home. Quiet.

There was nothing that to not like.

The location and overall setup of the property are nice, and we appreciated the effort put into the design. Communication was fine and check-in was smooth

There are several points that need improvement. There appears to be water damage on one of the walls which looks like possible mold. The living room does not have a TV, which was disappointing as this is usually standard and made it less comfortable to relax downstairs; the TV upstairs is very small and not functioning properly. The mattress is extremely hard and could be improved. The bathroom is quite small with no proper space to store toiletries, and although there is a towel rack behind the door, it is not working properly, so it was not usable. The main entrance door also does not close or lock properly and should be fixed. In addition, when leaving the apartment, the electricity turns off completely, which makes it impossible to run appliances like the washing machine.

We loved our stay at La Casa Piccola. It had everything we needed and the location is perfect. It’s very comfortable and well-equipped, and we loved having breakfasts on the cute balcony. The house is right in the heart of the old town, easy walking distance from the harbour, restaurants, bus station, etc. But it’s also on a lovely quiet street and felt very private. One of the best things about our stay was how welcoming and helpful Lia was. Lia made pre-arrival and check-Im very easy for us and gave us some great recommendations of things to do in Chania. We loved our 4-night stay and could’ve happily stayed longer.

The host was so sweet and accommodating! The location was perfect. It was close to everything. The apartment was absolutely beautiful! It was clean, cozy and spacious.
