"Sweet and freindly hosts, lovely little apartment, but the roosters crow very early!"

This little apartment is lovely. Very well decorated and clean. The host is extremely sweet and friendly. She does not speak English, but used Google translate to communicate. Unfortunately, she had the language set to French. Thankfully both my kids went to French immersion and were able to understand.

The beds were very hard, but we honestly found that at all three locations we stayed at in Crete. Wondering if it is a cultural difference, that they like their beds to be rock solid. We liked the little farming community we were in, but what we didn't realize was that the roosters would start crowing at 4:30 am, followed at 5 am with a loud pack of dogs yelping and howling. After 4:30 am, there was not much sleep to be had.
