Cosy 2 Bedroom Cottage

Location is perfect, near waterfall , beach and walks. The fireplace in the cottage is amazing. It's pet friendly

We had a fantastic stay in The Cosy Cottage! It was clean, comfortable and the christmas decorations were a lovely touch. The stove was a stand out feature and there was plenty of turf for our use. The Cottage was very easy to get to using google maps and the location is stunning. We really enjoyed the views as we drove from Ardara to the cottage. The road is narrow and a bit twisty/turny so be cautious driving! The beach was a 5 minute drive away and was perfect for our dog to get a good run around! The waterfall is on the way to the beach and was definitely worth the stop! Make sure to wrap up as we got caught in a couple of down pours and it was very windy but worth it for the incredible views. There are takeaway menus in the cottage but there wasn't delivery so you will need to collect. We also visited the next town over, Glenties and stopped for lunch and a coffee. The locals were very friendly and accommodating for our dog. We highly recommend staying here and will definitely be back ourselves.

TV was small for the room but this just comes down to our preference. It's a smart TV (which we loved) and serves it's purpose.

Obviously would be great if there was a table & chairs for mealtimes but no room for one

View is amazing, perfect place for relaxing with family. Everything what you need is in the house, including games, tv channels, Wi-Fi, fireplace, space for car. Beds very comfortable, people in Town Friendly..

Distance to the beach, have to drive 30 minutes..

How clean the cottage was and the location was stunning

The location was fantastic. With waterfalls nearby and a beach that had practically nobody on it. We were at the bottom of the mountain and took the road through the mountains the scenery was amazing. The cottage had everything you would need for a stay and absolutely spotless. We had oil heating and also a large wood stove and the hosts supplied sticks and plenty of peat which they topped up when needed. The village of ardara is 7minutes away and you can stock up on anything you need. Also plenty of choice for takeaways if you don't fancy cooking

The roads can be narrow and lots of bends . Other than that we couldn't complain. Don't trust Google for directions you're better with a map.the cottage had several.

Loved cosy feel. The turf fire. The house was so clean and had everything you needed for a stay.

The weather

There was every equipment you could wish for, even though there is not that much space in the cottage.

For a family of 5 who cooks their own meals the kitchen table was very small, but for a short stay we made it work.

We did long day trips and it was lovely to return to a clean and comfortable cottage each evening. Everything we needed was provided and the location was beautiful, rural and peaceful.
