"Wonderful,relaxing,quiet very little traffic no visitors cars allowed on the island!"

Delighted Majella provided provisions which were all eaten and enjoyed. The house was spotless and provided old world charm, the stairs are steep and there is no bathroom upstairs but that was not a problem for us. Extra blankets and towels were available and generous toiletries in the large bathroom. Loved the views across the bay sitting outside for breakfast.Loved the visiting chicken,ducks,phesants, hares, and the birdsong inthe morning. The ferry to take you on and off the island was well run.

When i arrived at Bantry Marina the toilets were locked the gentleman in charge obnoxious, the garage across the marina had toilets but no key to open them. Fortunately the Maritime hotel was not too far. To leave your car at Bantry Marina is 25 euro a night, my daughter and son travelled on seperate days so for 2 cars that is steep, but safe.

Outre le fait que l'emplacement soit exceptionnel, un havre de paix et de calme avec vue sur la baie de Bantry, Majella est une hôte adorable et attentionnée! La maison est très agréable, très propre et encerclée par l'océan et la nature. Si vous recherchez les belles ballades avec des points de vue incroyable en pleine nature, l'île de whiddy ne vous décevra pas! Merci Majella ! A bientôt j'espère

The house is so beautiful and in a fabulous location. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner outside everyday on the picnic table over looking the sea and Bantry Bay - HEAVEN!

The house is absolutely idyllic. The views are incredible. The only sounds are the sea and wildlife. The welcome is so warm. The local pub is friendly with incredible food and service. The best kept secret in Ireland 🇮🇪
