By The Mill

Our stay at Judith's was amazing. Her two-level home, which has a large terrace on the 3rd level, offered unbelievable views of the sea and mountains, but most importantly the sunsets. The home is comfortable and nicely decorated and perfectly located, private yet within a few minute walk to countless shops and restaurants. Judith was nice and helpful, suggesting activities, arranging transportation, providing housekeeping every day, leaving us welcome snacks and drinks, and being responsive to our every question and request. She is truly a wonderful host who knows how to make her guests feel special. We highly recommend Judith to anyone thinking of spending time in Santorini.

By the Mill is a gorgeous villa — very well located in Oia, everything in town is walking distance, the views are stunning and capture both sunset and caldera, and the place is very well maintained and cleaned daily and has all the amenities one would need, and the heated pool was just right to take a break from days out and about. Judith’s recommendations for transport were great, responsive and always on time.

Unbelievable.. the view and the facilities were incredible and the location was simply the best. Watch the sunset from either patio, you have 3 levels to choose from. It’s a very popular location but we were in complete privacy, with 300degree views!! Simply amazing!!!

That we could only stay 2 nights!

Words cannot do justice for ‘By the Mill’. We splurged to get a place on the caldera and everyone loved our choice. The communication beforehand about our arrival and recommendations were top notch. When we arrived a nice basket of Greek treats were provided which was perfect for the kids to get something in their belly. The most amazing thing are the sunset views on all 3 levels of the house. People are literally fighting for spots below and above you. We could sit comfortably on the patios with direct views and enjoy. The place itself is large, showers are great, never any hot water issues (I take long showers), kitchen was well equipped but probably not enough to make large dinners etc. For example we had to make multiple servings of eggs as they wouldn’t all fit in one pan for the whole family. Wasn’t that big of a deal as the daily housekeeping helped with some of the clean up. The hot tub is warm but not hot like in the USA. The kids loved the hot tub to swim in and the size was much bigger than I had imagined from the pictures. Oia during the day can become very crowded as bus loads of people arrive from the cruise ships daily. Staying in Oia was the best in order to experience the early morning and late afternoon calmness in the town. Lastly, Santorini is just amazing. Oia is a little gem in this world and our accommodations certainly played a big part in creating some of the best memories. We tried to fit in most activities from wine tours to volcano and black/red beaches. We simply didn’t have enough time and wish we had a couple more days.

Really nothing but I wish I had replaced or cleaned the towels more frequently. The pool towels by Day 3 were so dirty but I couldn’t really get them cleaned since we needed them each day but I also never asked. I slipped twice. Be careful as the marble becomes very slippery when wet. Luckily no serious injuries.

so many things – the view, the rooms, the pool, the housekeeping from Alma, the welcome gift, the messaging from Judith, the service from Billy, the location.

The umbrella’s on the sun deck rattle and they are located above one of the bedrooms, which can make it a little hard to sleep for the person in that bedroom.
