Chios Houses, beautiful restored traditional stone houses with an astonishing seaview

Muhteşem bir manzarası vardı, ve ev sahimiz Aris şahane bir insan, kendisi bir rehber olduğu için bölgeyle ilgili çeşitli tavsiyeler verdi, ne yazık ki biz elimizde olmayan sebeplerle erken ayrılmak zorunda kaldık, Aris bu noktada dahi hızla duruma müdahale edip bize yardımcı oldu. Ev çok güzel bölge de çok güzel. Olağan üstü bir gün batımı ve gün doğumu evin terasından izlemek mümkün. Bu bölgede evlerin hepsi iki katlı bir stüdyo gibi. Yani ayrı odalar yok. Küçük bir merdivenle üstat yatak odasına gidiyorsun. Orda geniş bir manzaralı teras var. Alt katta da yine camdan manzarayı görmek mümkün. Pişirmek kahve yapmak vb gibi her türlü ihtiyaç mevcut evde.

Biz 4 kişi için rezervasyon yaptık ama genel olarak 2 yetişkin ya da 2 yetişkin +2 çocuk için daha uygun. 4 yetişkin için biraz küçük. Sakız meydana 1 saat kadar uzaklıkta, ve dağ yollarından gitmek gerektiğini bilmek gerekiyor. Sakin bir tatil istiyorsanız şahane bir lokasyon. Biz erken ayrılmak zorunda kaldık ama yeniden geleceğimize eminim.

Ev geleneksel köy evi çok güzel restore edilmiş ihtiyaç duyulacak her şey var. Çok keyifli… Ev sahibi çok yardımcı her şeyle ilgileniyor, ada hakkında bilgi veriyor. Gezilecek, görülecek yerler, restoranlar hakkında bilgi veriyor.

A village with a soul, there was a historical texture everywhere

The center is an hour away from the airport

This is a lovely old stone house and lovingly restored. It is located at the top of the lovely old village of Volissos in the most wild and remote region of Chios and truely authentic. The peace & tranquility of the village and the area are something which we have forgotten in the mad western Europe in which we live and this is truely a place to relax, unwind and enjoy the stunning views from the roof terrace, by both day and night. And if all this seems to be exactly what you're looking for, then you will only be even more impressed by the top-class host, Aris, who not only is a true tourism professional, but also genuinely passionate about Chios and the north -west region in particular.

We would only comment that we feel some of the property description could be more complete so that visitors have a more details to make their decision when booking. In this respect we would say that the 'onsite' mentions are incorrect in that the parking is not onsite but is approx 200m away and access to the property is via 35 steps, both up and down, so anyone with mobility issues needs to be aware. (I should also say that Aris was super helpful in helping with our luggage). Similarly the ATM is not on site but in the lower part of the village a 5-10 minute walk downhill and back, or a 5 min drive. Equally, the property is only air-conditioned in the upstairs bedroom which doubles as access to the roof terrace, where the ´double' bed is only 120-130cm wide and closed in on 3 sides. Some people may therefore decide to only use the upstairs 'double' bed for 1 person. Also be aware that the toilet and bathroom are on the ground floor.

The house is in the old stone village of Pyrgi underneath the ancient castle of Volissos. The location is wonderful, due to wide sightseeing you have on the sea from the terrace up above. Moreover Aris is a very helpful and generous host, of a kind difficoult to find by now. Don't miss it!

We like the view and silence . House owner is a real gentleman. We are looking forward to comeback. This side of island is more calm and houses has better view.
