酒蔵まつりに行くために宿泊しましたので、立地は最高でした。

簡易キッチン着きとはなっていますが、細かな点の配慮が欠けています。 見た目は良いのですが、機能的とは言えない状況でした。 例えば食器は洗えるけど 置く場所も無いし、食器を拭く布巾も無い！ 電子レンジは有るけど、 レンジで使える食器が不明である。

We chose this place as it is near to the places we wanted to visit (OUO & Yutoku Inari shrine). We were able to make two trips to OUO during high and low tides due to the distance. The lady staff who helped us to check in was kind to assist with our dinner reservations. Without her, we would have difficulty finding a restaurant that would be open that night (I think she called the restaurant owner to open just for us). Snacks and sake were made available for guests. Good selection of coffee pods. The lobby was fitted with wash basin, kitchenette, a small library, and some display of some local artifacts. There was a huge and beautiful cedar bathtub that can fit two. The view from the bathroom was nice.

One needs to walk pass a long corridor to reach the bathroom. In winter, the corridor is very cold. The room on the ground floor is beside the street and many cars speed pass the street early in the morning, making it hard to sleep pass 8am. There are steps to the room and one needs to be careful when going to the toilet at night. The lights at the dining area and the lobby cannot be switched off at night, so one is greeted by the bright lights when going to the toilet at night. We paid for 3 pax and the third pax was given a 3-fold mattress to be used on the tatami floor. This is definitely not acceptable for the price paid. The place is not exactly a hotel, more like an Airbnb. Check-in is done virtually and there is no staff on site. A lady helped us when we arrived and left after we checked in and made dinner reservations. The place was fitted with microwave/oven, rice cooker, induction cooker, pot and utensils for cooking. But unless you buy your groceries before coming, it is hard to get them nearby. The location is not well developed, only a handful of shops were open along the street during our stay. On the second night, we drove around for more than an hour trying to find dinner place as most places either don’t take card or are fully booked. If you book your room with meals, they are served at a nearby restaurant, not in the house.

Everything is superb by this host. The environment is clean and beautiful, also with a scent of historical building. The bundled dinner (Kaiseki) and breakfast were wonderful and delicious. All the services provided were outstanding and made us feel so much like home.

There was a hiccup when checking in, the passcode to the lock of the floor was wrong. Luckily the staff of the host was nearby and came to help quickly. The service was very good and the remedy was prompt.
