Very spacious

I recently stayed at this homestay in Jelapang, Ipoh, for **3 days and 2 nights**, and unfortunately, it was quite disappointing. The host have demanded RM300 as deposit and listed down a bunch of rules to be followed such as single shoe print that found inside house will be charge a penalty of RM50 and the list goes on. **Room & Amenities:** The room was spacious, but the provided amenities had a strong unpleasant smell, as if they hadn’t been washed for a long time. Some of the amenities were also not functioning properly. The bedding was below expectations—while they advertised **two single beds**, they only provided **two mattresses with old pillows**, which didn’t even have pillowcases. I had to search for pillows myself and found them when looking for an **iron box**, which was missing. **Facilities & Cleanliness:** The **downstairs washroom** was **badly stinky**, and the owner claimed that plumbers were unable to fix it at the moment. Additionally, one of the **upstairs washrooms had a non-functioning flush**, making only **one washroom usable out of three**. In the **kitchen**, only a **water heater, a few cups, and some cutlery** were provided—extremely basic and inconvenient. **Host’s Response:** The host was **not very helpful** in resolving these issues. When I inquired about the missing **iron box**, my text was simply ignored. It was frustrating to see a lack of communication and responsibility from the owner. **Overall Experience:** With such **limited facilities and poor management**, I **do not find the stay worth the price**. The owner should seriously consider improving the provided amenities, interacting with guests more professionally, and offering a **price reduction** when essential facilities are not available. Would I recommend this homestay? **No, unless major improvements are made.**
