Ardnavaha House Poolside Cottages - see site

Warm welcome and plenty of information on things to do provided. Loved the location in the countryside and space to walk around the grounds and nearby. Courtyard had places to sit and plastic glasses were provided so you could have a drink outside. Swimming pool was a decent size too. We had a couple of issues but Gareth responded quickly to our messages and was very helpful. Very generous supplies of tea and coffee but pick up milk before you arrive as there’s no milk.

Not a complaint. We were in the apartment in the roof but thought we’d booked a cottage so check, it wasn’t obvious when we booked with Booking.com that there was a choice. (Perhaps all the cottages had gone when we booked. ) There were skylights but the 2 little windows in the apartment looked onto a roof space so no view out. We like to see out, but as we were out most of the time it was ok.

The cottage was fabulous with a fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, bathroom had nice toiletries and towels, bedroom was very big and the bed comfortable.

Some deprecating comments by hostess upon arrival - why did you come here, you have a lot of luggage etc - unnecessary comments.

We loved the quiet location in the country. It had a beautiful garden and walking trail. The cottage was clean, spacious and we were able to do laundry. Gerard was a friendly and helpful host.

Tolle Lage und geräumige Appartements! Die Küche ist eher spartanisch bestückt ansonsten aber alles vorhanden.

I couldn’t recommend this property more! We are local to the city and this felt like paradise for a staycation. Ann and Gerard couldn’t be friendlier, luckily we were able to catch Gerard by the pool one day and got the ins and outs of the history of the property which was fascinating. Only a quick 10 minute drive to the all the amenities of Clonakilty. Beds and cottage’s were spacious and comfortable and filled with everything and anything we needed. The pool was absolutely devine and had floaties and was heated. Can’t wait to come back already! I’d rate it a thousand out of ten if I could.
