The Small House

We had a great stay! The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The location was convenient, and the host was very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

Location was in a prime area of Listowel. Walking distance to everything. And a great location to tour Kerry from. The home was well equipped. Beds comfortable. House was very clean. Host was very communicative to help with any questions , advice etc

The house is just right. Very clean and plenty of space. Incredible location!!! And excellent host!!!

Two bathrooms were a plus, heat worked well, city location was very convenient & felt safe. There were three different grocery stores all within walking distance. Refrigerator, (rusty) washer & stove worked well. Owner included foil, plastic wrap, laundry soap, salt &, pepper, a a small amount of sugar & milk, plus a bottle of wine ;) Beds upstairs are 2 twins & a double which I believe were mis-advertised as a queen. Upstairs bath is ok for people of average size. For my 6'2" 220lb husband the shower was very small, yet ok for either very skinny or avg height & weight people.

Living room furniture was old & worn. Kitchen was small & awkward. There were only 4 or 5 clothes pins, baseboards are beat up & need painting. Kitchen countertop is uneven making very limited countertop space even more challenging to use. There is an unmarked small decline in living room which could be a trip hazard for those frail of condition. Oh, one of the door locks needs a bit of lube. And, watch your head with the slanted ceilings in the main bedroom.

The location was great for doing what we planned while In the area.

We loved The Small House. It was perfect size for my little family. The location was ideal. We were close to everything and felt very safe and comfortable. We were able to take day trips to Ballybunnion and Cork and be back to the house in no time. My brother and cousins live nearby so the location was ideal for them to visit, too!

I like everything about the property. It is a typical older Irish home so for Americans who might not be familiar with turning on the hot water or the electric shower - it just takes getting used to but that’s not a “dislike”. It’s just worth mentioning for anyone who might not be familiar. Breda made sure everything was highlighted in a nice book with directions and info.
