Glendale Chestnut Grove

The property was clean. There was no real cupboard space in the kitchen as they were almost too full with Delph and kitchen utensils which were dated and random. There was a lovely conservatory which added more living space to the property and the enclosed garden was beautiful.

The kitchen was overloaded with utensil and crockery and random mugs and cups, no space to store food. The towel supplies were very old and hard and we had to buy towels to use while we stayed here. Also the bath mats were old and had a foul odour from them so I also replaced them while staying here. The bed in the master bedroom is made from an iron frame which creaks and squeaks every time you turn in it so it impacted sleep while we stayed here.

The house itself was very nice, good location.

No welcome pack,no information available on central heating,washing. Machine and television which was extremely difficult to operate.

Proximity to beach.

Lack of wardrobe space.

Nice quiet setting, nicely set out, the garden was a bonus with children. Tea and coffee was also a bonus. The playground around the corner was good, well equipped. The cottage met the needs of our long weekend stay.

The fact you had to get rid of your own rubbish which is difficult if you didn't have a car as we didn't. It's a fifteen minute walk to the shop to dispose of it. A welcome pack such as milk and bread would have been great for the first night. More toilet roll also.
