The decor was nicely done, lots of character.

the location of the property was gorgeous and so easy to find. the hosts were so lovely and couldn’t have asked for better! We were greeted upon arrival and told about the nearby sights and such and also we were left out fresh eggs from the hens! couldn’t have asked for better! I’ll definitely be back!

Everything was exactly as advertised or even better. The charming loft is beautifully situated on an old farm and is truly unique. It felt like returning home after a journey. Bairbre recommended excellent restaurants and local sites. We definitely recommend staying there and would book it again in a heartbeat.

Comfortable,clean and spacious. Richard and Bairbre were lovely hosts. Giving information when requested and providing fresh eggs and bread.

Then only problem with the area being all the local pubs in the village have shut down. It would have been good to have a little drink after a busy day.

Bartholomew's Loft was a beautiful place to stay. The old stone building has been renovated into a comfortable and functional cottage while still maintaining many of the original features. The beds were very comfortable, the cottage was cosy and warm, and the kitchen was fully equipped. Our lovely hosts left fresh milk and eggs which were perfect for breakfast.

There was nothing to not like. We were just disappointed we weren't staying for longer.

Lovely comfortable place, beautifully furnished, nice setting. Children loved it too, felt like a treat. They loved feeding the lambs. Great base for all the sights of the Boyne Valley area

The loft was beautifully decorated, comfortable and warm during our stay in December. The hosts went above and beyond for us, providing us with eggs, bread, butter and jam for our stay, we really can't thank them enough for their hospitality. We would love to come and stay again sometime!

The setting is beautiful, Bairbre couldn't have been any more helpful or welcoming and the loft itself is gorgeous.

My only complaint was beyond their control, there are no pubs open in the village since the pandemic and so there was no option to eat out without booking a taxi to Kells, but the facilities were great and we cooked and ordered in.
