Ty'r Afon - River Cottage

Stunning location, beautiful gardens with a river running at the end of the garden, chickens in the garden too which the children loved. Really nice decked seating area. The cottage itself was warm, cozy and comfortable and better than the pictures show. Hosts were helpful and friendly and their welcome basket with fresh eggs, local bacon, fresh milk, butter and hand made bread and marmalade were delightful and added such a special touch. We will definitely be back.

We had a lovely time at the River Cottage. Our boys loved visiting the hens in the garden and we enjoyed resting in the sun on the decking after a day exploring. The welcome surprise from Dusty and Ros was well received. The fresh eggs, homemade bread and locally sourced bacon were a lovely surprise. We would definitely visit again.

There wasn't anything we didn't like.

The cottage was as described and the garden and the location was perfect. Mainly the river flowing adjacent to the garden was great. and the host Ros and Dusty were great. They provided homemade butter, marmalade, eggs, bread and milk which all tasted yummy. And we had all the facilities for cooking and everything was neat and clean.

The location was absolutely perfect. Facilities were very clean, and the amazing hosts left us fresh milk, eggs, butter, and bacon. Would highly reccomend, amazing.

Everything was lovely

Set in a beautiful garden , this property was perfect for our short stay near Bala. The property is bright and airy. Leave a window open to hear the sound of the river running at the bottom of the garden. Breakfast of bacon and eggs and toast with marmalade set us up for the day.

What can I say! The fridge contained excellent bacon from a local butchers, locally sourced eggs, homemade bread and marmalade, fresh butter - honestly the best breakfast I've ever experienced being away (and we've been to a lot of places around the world). The accomodation was spacious, with a river to the back, a lovely garden and outside seating area. Washing machine, dishwasher, hob, oven, all the utensils we needed. And the host, Dusty met us upon arrival and was friendly, warm and a pleasure to meet (we didn't get chance to see Ros unfortunately, but I'm going to assume that she is equally as nice). A wonderful location, peaceful and perfect for relaxing or exploring Snowdonia.

To be perfectly honest, there wasn't anything we didn't like.
