The home overlooking the harbor

This place is something special. It has the absolute best view of Hydra, the interior is very charming and the spacious terrace is perfect for hanging out with friends. We went with our friends and we were all impressed by the welcoming: they greeted us with cold water and fresh fruits. Communication with Ioannis was always smooth and he is very responsive. He helped us carrying our baggages with the cutest mules. The apartment has everything you could need: coffee capsules, beach towels, nice toiletries, washing pods - it is really well equipped. Now, about the 317 stairs to get there (yep, we counted) - they turned out to be exactly what we needed after indulging in all the amazing food every day. Plus, we took advantage of this and tried a different route up each day that allowed us to explore the charm of Hydra. Oh and we also had a visitor - a lovely kitten we named Idra. She adopted us for the week, so if you stay there just know she loooooves Greek yogurt.

The house is absolutely amazing.

The owner should say form the beginning his requirement's, We used a towel and at the end we had a lot of complaints that we used it, even we offered to pay it back. We made us feeling bad, as we tried as much we could to let the house in good shape. Take care at the end of stay and clean the place, otherwise you will have owner complaints.

The place is incredible and the views from the apartment are stunning! Ioannis is such an amazing host! He arranged our pick-up from the ferry, had really good suggestions for our stay in Hydra, and accommodated all our needs. You do have to walk some stairs to get to the apartment, but nothing too difficult. Would definitely come back!

Communication with our very kind host was excellent, and this is a really lovely home. The views from the living room and the master bedroom are magical, the house was spacious, spotlessly clean with beautiful bed linen and very comfortable beds and was very nicely furnished. The kitchen was exceptionally well-equipped. We loved our stay.

There was nothing we did not like. However, the house is high up and there are a lot of steps to reach it - we got used to this quickly and didn't mind (there is very efficient aircon to help you cool off!), but it is important to be aware of this when booking.

The description of the location didn’t indicate that there were 331 stairs that were quite difficult to navigate in the heat or after a nice meal in the port.

Our host, Ioanis was most helpful and obliging, picking us up at the harbour with donkeys in tow for the luggage. The apartment is very quaint and comfy and has a lovely view from both the lounge and top bedroom. It also has a bath which is rather rare to find in Hydra. We highly recommend this property.

The best rental home we have had. We lived in a Greek home, simple and tastefully decorated , very comfortable inside as outside. The private terrasse was terrific! We loved this house. We were taken care of by the owner from arrival to departure.
