Chez Marguerite Shepherd's Hut with Private Sauna, Outside Bath

Beautiful location. Well designed accommodation and all the little details had been thought of.

Nothing.

What a super last minute find especially on a wet night on cycle tour. The hut was in the owners garden but separated by trees and bushes so felt private. The accommodation was extremely good, super bed and all the kit required for self catering. The owner had left all the essentials - tea, milk, coffee, eggs, bacon and bread. Also some lovely chocolate brownie - sadly I eat half and forgot to take the other half with me:(. Bathroom was in the hut unlike similar huts, and was excellent although necessarily compact. A wood burner was available which I would have used to take the damp chill off the day but went out to eat instead. The owner, Karoline, had provided me with a number or recommendations in Holt - I chose Byfords as the only place fully open on a Monday night, which was a 30 minute walk away and could not have been better or more welcoming. I only wish I could have stayed longer in the hut, it felt very comfortable indeed.

The weather!

A lot of thought has gone into decorating the property to a high standard. I loved the woodland setting and it was very comfortable.

There is not anything to dislike about the property.

The Shepherds hut was the cutest place I've ever stayed. Just perfect for a weekend getaway! Spotless. Loved the addition of Alexa and the fairy lights. Brilliantly positioned to explore Blakeney, Holkham, Wells next to the sea. Loved the breakfast supplies and added bonus of freshly baked cake. The cats are quick to find a comfy place to sleep. But we found this quite amusing. We lit the firepit in an evening and chilled. I couldn't recommend this place enough. We'll be back!

Such a lovely tranquil place, we thoroughly enjoyed it, it was also handy to be able to walk into Holt. The breakfast ingredients were very good, although some ketchup and brown sauce would have been nice. The home made brownie and bar of chocolate went down a treat.

Superb location Friendly and helpful host Bedding could have been more plump Fan would be ideal or mosquito nets on windows as we has an infestation of mosquitoes being under lots of trees and it was stuffy weather but a night of many mosquitoes managed get rid of them but then had to keep windows closed.

Peaceful location with steam trains in the distance Delightful hut. Loved it

The area where the fire pit is situated is shady. We moved our chairs into the sun (on the lawn - hope that was OK)

Good selection for breakfast.
