"Lovely place for a Restful Holiday"

9.0

We stayed in the Hayloft for one week , Exceptionally clean , well equipped and comfortable . There is some road noise at peak times but does not distract from stay. The grounds are lovely with places to sit outside On site carparking is excellent. We were met by owner Liz who showed us the accommodation and explained what was available in the local area. We drove to the train station in Flint which is about 15 mins away you can access trains to Chester and connections to places like Liverpool but also the west side of North Wales such as Bangor , Conway etc . Llandudno is also on the route. We really enjoyed our stay at the Old Mill Cottages

"Passable"

5.0

No comment for Hayloft cottage. Cherry pie inn next door. Made us very welcome & excellent meals.

Not a good welcome. On a busy noisy road. Front door did not open easily. Sanitair outdated. (Toilet did not flush properly & shower old fashioned system & very noisy) No warm water at kitchen sink. Alarm went off when using toaster or oven.

"Great location for exploring North Wales"

8.0

Tastefully decorated with homely feel. Comfortable living area and bed, with plenty of space in rooms so didn’t feel small for a 1 bed property. Great location for exploring North Wales. Made to feel welcome with nice little touches including dog bed provided, unfortunately didn’t quite fit my dog though she still tried it out for size! Excellent pub next door with great service.

Main issue was the noise from above from every walking movement. Not sure how this can be rectified easily as it’s an old property, so it’s expected to a point, but it was quite intrusive at times. Pillows weren’t too comfortable so perhaps worth investing in slightly better ones, but bed was lovely. There was road noise as others mentioned but this didn’t really bother me. I don’t want these comments to detract from what was a lovely stay and I would stay here again if I had the chance.
