Location was perfect

It is such a cute property. It is very clean, is so nicely decorated, and very close to everything.

The check in instructions could be a little more clear, but we quickly got in touch with someone who was able to tell us exactly where it was and how to get in.

Nespresso machine did not have any pods We had an ant infestation on the sun room sliding doors , we dealt with it using ant spray & the vacuum

Excellent location, Ruth the caretaker was lovely and friendly.

The communication, check in instructions and parking instructions are very poor via the booking.com messaging. We were using a different phone number as we are overseas and we didn’t know how to get in and messaging the owner (I think) via booking.com was useless because they just gave us the caretakers phone number again (which we couldn’t call using our phone). The caretaker had called our other number. Also note that maps won’t take you to the correct location. I think these processes need to be streamlined and there needs to be clear communication from the outset.

The address listed in Booking.com was incorrect, so it took us a bit to figure it out. We alerted the manager so that should be resolved going forward.

Everything we needed, plenty of towels, comfortable beds. All the things you need with children, washer, dryer, dishwasher, coffee maker etc etc. location was brilliant, literally 2 minutes down stoney steps and you in the centre by the harbour…..and pubs…….lots of pubs 😀

The property had been superficially cleaned, the kitchen surfaces were wiped, the bathrooms had been cleaned and the sheets were changed. The decor although not new was tastefully done.

The house suffers badly from damp, there was black mould over the walls and ceiling in both bedrooms and the en-suite bathroom. The main bedroom had mould on the lampshades and blinds and there was paint peeling from the walls. The toilet seats were badly fitted and the wooden sink surround in the en-suite was black with mould. The blind in the children’s bedroom was broken and many of the lightbulbs throughout the house were not working. When we arrived there were food crumbs on the sofa and the table cloth was dirty, there was old cooked rice all around the table. The cupboards in the kitchen were all full so there was nowhere to store our food. The crockery and cutlery was not clean and we had to wash up what we needed before we could use it. There was out of date, unusable food left in one cupboard. In addition to this there were no usable mirrors in the house - the one in the main bedroom was just balanced on the floor so far too low, all the clocks in the house were wrong and the bedside tables in the main bedroom had the paint peeling off, presumably due to the damp.

The check out time is very early and doesn't feel value for money. We however were very grateful to be allowed to leave our bags as it was pouring.
