A house and a half on Beara peninsula

Within walking distance of town while allowing easy access to Beara Peninsula. You could cone and go as you pleased.

Cosy ‘living’ pod with underfloor heating and some cooking facilities (microwave, air fryer, single electric stovetop ring - no oven). The bed was comfortable. It was within walking distance to the town/harbour and castletownbere is a good base for this area.

Too much like camping. The details didn’t say you needed to walk outside from the ‘living’/sleeping pod to the toilet/shower pod which is not great if the weather is bad or if you need it in the middle of the night. The toilet/shower pod has no heating apart from an electric fan heater which you can turn on when you enter. This pod seemed a bit neglected and needed the floor tiles re-grouting and the tile area around the outside of the shower cleaning. On arrival there was a towel laid in front of the door as water comes in when raining. There were lots and lots of wood lice crawling around in this pod as well which is ok if you like them! The outside area could also do with a tidy up and there was a broken sun umbrella lying on the floor. It all felt a bit unloved when you first arrived.

for the price there was no tv it was a lot closer to other houses than the pictures lead us to believe not convenient having the bathroom in a. separate building there were a few bugs and insects in the bathroom heard lots of talking and people outside the accommodation most of the night

Great place, super comfy and everything needed for a couple of days.
