"Unclean, not worth the money"

The caretaker and the owner were both friendly and polite. The view from the pool is stunning

The cleanliness. This villa seems neglected. There was old, dried up lizard droppings in the house. The pool was also covered in dead leaves. Unfortunately, there is only one caretaker who seems to take care of both the owner and the guest house. Wish there were more than one cleaning staff dedicated to keep the place clean. The caretaker (Siby) did a wonderful job at cleaning up everything. Would love to stay again in the future if cleaning is better

"A wonderful stay at Anya's lake house"

We had a wonderful stay at Anya's lake house. The house was beautiful, well-equipped, and had everything we needed. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and we had access to a pool with stunning views of the lake. Kumaresan greeted us upon arrival, showed us around the house, and offered us refreshments. Our host, Anya, treated us to a lovely breakfast by the pool and shared great recommendations for local dining spots. One of the days, we took a tuk tuk into Kochi town, which took about 35 minutes, and spent time strolling through Jew Town and Fort Kochi. We had a fantastic time in the neighborhood and were lucky enough to stumble upon a festival, where we were warmly welcomed. The experience was truly unforgettable, and we felt honored by the kindness of everyone we met. We did hire a car, but for some reason, the car hire company couldn’t locate the house. For future travellers, it might be helpful to provide more details about the pick-up location. Unfortunately, this meant we missed out on a relaxed breakfast and more time by the pool that morning, which was the only downside to our otherwise fantastic stay. Thank you :)

The property was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was lovely, delivered to you on time.

Getting to the property you have to go down narrow back streets and the road is really bad. At one stage you have to drive over a hump really slowly. Also the cockerel outside wakes you up really early!
